The Paramillos Mines are one of those incredible places in our mountains, where you can enjoy adventure tours or mining tourism.
To get there, we must take route No. 52 to Villavicencio, passing through the Pampa de Canota, and the old hotel and nature reserve of Villavicencio. Then we have to climb the snails or on the way to the 365 curves, we stop to play echo on the Balcony of the Quebrada del Toro and pass the milestone known as American Cable.
Going up a little more, the Cruz de Paramillos, will mark the highest point of this part of the Pre-mountain range from where it begins to descend towards the Uspallata valley.
On this route, 25 km from Uspallata, we will find the old mining buildings built by the Jesuits. The oldest in the country, where lead, silver and zinc were extracted.
La mina cuenta con más de 10.000 túneles y galerías subterráneas y algunos de ellos hoy forman parte de dos circuitos de turismo aventura: Trekking Minero y Trekking Minero con Rappel.
